HEALTHY PARENTS HEALTHY BABY

I always believe that healthy parents have healthy baby so it's unrealistic to expect our kids to develop good eating habits if we don't have them ourselves.

The foundations of good health are laid in the first years of life. It is in these years that you establish healthy eating patterns and help set you baby on the path to a life free of illness like heart disease, high blood pressure, certain cancers, stroke and diabetes. While these illnesses rarely strike before midlife, the processes that cause these "lifestyle" diseases' actually begin in childhood.

Nowaday, many children are overweight or obese, are showing early signs of Type 2 diabetes, have high blood cholesterol readings, are unfit and don't fo enough regular exercise.

As any parent knows there are no schools where you can qualify as a parent before  you become one. So what we can do is learn it from our baby, our baby will guide us thoroughout the parenthood.

Yupe, I'm strongly agree with "healthy parents ; healthy baby", but how many of the parents today know about what is "healthy life style" ?

Buying all those so called "certified organic food" from the "certified organic shop" can consider "healthy life style"? Answer : "YES" or "NO". (Think about it)

"Healthy" means free from "sickness" & "diseases"?
Answer : "YES" or "NO". (Think twice)

Of cause if you are really care about your family, yourself and your children, you will try to find a lot of information from the internet, books and etc to get to know more about "health" related issue.

Below are the conversation between 2 parents.

A: "How many of those information you get are correct ? How we can judge them ? "

B: "Cos the advertisement from the media said so and they got the FDA certified and approved."

A: "That's all ?

B: "Yup. We can certainly believe in FDA, as they are the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) from US. Western people better that us"

A: "US people drink alot of milk right ?

B: "Yes, advertisement shown that milk is good for bone development and can prevent osteoporosis."

A: "If milk is really as good as shown from the advertisement saying that it can helps in osteoporosis then why western county have more osteoporosis cases than asian? "

B: "Eh... Ah... Em..."

A: "They consume more milk than us in daily life, right"

B: "Yes..."

A: "Do you know most of the allergies problems related to the intake of milk ?"

B: "Eh...Ah...I'm not sure. Who bothers, as long as FDA approved sure ok "

So, can we truly believe in advertisement, pharmaceutical company, FDA ? "YES" or "NO" (think yourself)
